The Co-operative MBA major seeks to contribute to the development of cooperatives in our country by developing and enhancing the competencies of cooperative field workers and activists. The program focuses on training field workers who have a balanced understanding of the duality of cooperatives as human associations and business organization, and who can solve the practical problems of cooperatives through field-based education.

The major aims at producing hands-on workers and leaders leading local community innovation through systematic learning related to newly developing community movements in both city and rural area. In particular, the program wants to train field workers and leaders playing a pivotal role in creative restoration of ‘community spirit’ and innovation in both city and rural regions. Finally, the major let students improve problem solving abilities by organically connecting theory learning and on-site situations
