Alien Registration
All foreign students at Sungkonghoe University (invited exchange, etc.) are required to register as a foreigner.
For alien registration, make a reservation in advance and visit the immigration office directly on the reservation date to apply. Making visiting reservations and required documents for alien registration can be made through the website below (Hi Korea).

Visa issuance
All international students must obtain a visa that is appropriate for the purpose of their visit. Getting an inappropriate visa can result in severe penalties. Therefore, all international students are encouraged to obtain an appropriate visa through the Korean embassy or consulate in their home country.
Also, group tour (C-3-2), medical tour (C-3-3), and general tour (C-3-9) visas cannot be changed to student visa (D-2) in Korea. In the above cases, after leaving Republic of Korea, you must obtain a student visa (D2) through the Korean embassy or consulate in your home country.

Information on the mandatory national health insurance subscription system for foreigners
Foreign students residing in Korea are obliged to subscribe to the National Health Insurance. There is no need to apply for National Health Insurance for foreign students as they are automatically enrolled as of the date of alien registration.

Notification of change of place of residence for foreigners
All registered foreigners must report the new place of stay within 15 days when they change their place of stay.
